Start with two pieces of cardstock measuring 10" x 5". 2. Lay one piece of cardstock on your score board horizontally and score at…

Today is my Dad's birthday, and here is the cool card (if I do say so myself) that I made him. It is a 5"x7" side step stair card, complete with a tutorial below. (You can see a few other A2 side stair examples here and here.) I really wanted to try the slightly larger size, and I LOVE the results. It is even easier to cut and to decorate. Begin with a 10"x7" card stock base. If you want to stamp your base, do this before cutting and scoring. Place a short side against the measuring edge of…

I found this card challenging even though the splitcoast tutorial was very easy to follow. Accurate measurements are essential to complete this card and I am in need of a more accurate cutter.

This was one of our Stamp Club projects this weekend - a stair step card using the stamp set "Something for Baby", Baby's First Framelits and Lullaby designer series paper. It also fits right in with the current Fab Friday Baby Theme challenge in honor of Baby Ian. Click here to see more entries in this challenge. Here is a better look at the folds: This is a card type that looks much harder to make than it is. Once you get used to how the card base is cut and scored, you can make these…

-Due to the many requests I'm posting this tutorial. Thank you for the wonderful comments. This is the card that many requested measurements for. Since the writing space in the interior of the card is much less than usual I wanted to have it large enough so that a person could have enough space to write a little something. To begin with the best cardstock to use for the base of these kind of cards is heavyweight 100#…
