This Saint's story begins while he was hunting in the forests of the Ardennes on Good Friday morning. He saw a crucifix appear in between the antlers of the stag he was chasing and heard a voice that said, "Hubert, unless you turn to the Lord, and lead a holy life, you shall quickly go down to hell."
