The timber frame and paper panes of the traditional Korean door were replaced with translucent resin grid and flexible silicone for this installation

Toyo Ito, This installation was one of a series of architectural exhibitions held at the Basilica Palladiana. The architect had to consider how to exhibit in a way that would have significance for a non specialist audience. Ito's installation consisted of twenty full-height, luminous suspended columns formed from transparent perforated white fabric, and a huge concave semi-transparent screen displaying a succession of images of his architecture.
