These beautiful ornaments by some of my favorite makers will give your Christmas tree a little artsy touch.

Snowflakes are made from Fine Porcelain (English Grolleg) and are high fired to about 2240 degrees (cone 10.) The small snowflake is cut out of the interior of the larger flake. Once fired, they are carefully tied (requiring 3 different ties) so that the smaller flake dangles within the larger flake and creates a lovely sound/chime/tinkle when the two meet in any movement. The snowflake is unglazed, but the purity of the porcelain and it's 'glass-like' vitrification contribute to the quality…

If you have toddler hands helping to decorate this year, then I recommend using porcelain air dry clay if you can find it. It sort of looks like dried white glue, so once dry, you have to paint them white and then add the designs, but they will not break when dropped!
