One of the cool things about Pfeiffer beach is the purple sand. Apparently this comes from manganese garnet crystals that gets washed in from the nearby hills. Anyway, I wish I could have shot more of these but my cable release got wet (again) and caused my MkII to stop functioning as long as it was attached.
