the poem medusa is written in an english language, and features pictures of two women

The story behind the myth. Medusa is one of the well known ‘villains’ of Greek mythology. While many know she’s a ‘monster’ that turns others to stone they don’t know how she backs this way. In some accounts of Medusas’ tale Poseidon attacked her due to her status as a high priestess to Athena. In an attempt to anger Athena he attacked Medusa in her temple taking the one thing that Athena held important to her high priestesses, Medusa’s celibacy.
