These drawings turned out completely different from what I'd planned! Here's a drawing I did some years back of all the different styles of seasonal kanzashi worn by the maiko. As you can see, there's a huge variety of spectacular styles! They are based on the flowers that are in bloom at that time of year, or on other seasonal items. Here are those for May and November in a bit more detail.
