The aim was to position Lloyd & Melón as a gourmet choice for food enthusiasts, intending to broaden the perception of hot sauce beyond traditional stereotypes. The packaging design was tasked with conveying this philosophy, prioritizing quality and taste, to establish the brand as a preferred selection for both food enthusiasts and hot sauce connoisseurs.

Made Slowly in the Pacific Northwest. From seed to sauce, we ferment a few simple locally-grown ingredients that with time come together into a complex hot sauce. Heat, umami, fresh complexity; HOSA is a condiment that doubles as an ingredient in any dish that needs a short-cut to flavor.

It's raw, fermented, and not kidding around.

We wanted to celebrate this beloved condiment, so we rounded up 11 different Louisiana-style hot sauces. Panels of tasters tried them two ways: plain and on creamy grits. We also had an independent lab analyze their heat levels in Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Each sauce has a personality, and they range in flavor and consistency. Despite their distinguishing characteristics, they are all linked by similar ingredients and a deep history.
