In the final months of World War II, 14-year-old Seita and his sister Setsuko are orphaned when their mother is killed during an air raid in Kobe, Japan. After a falling out with their aunt, they move into an abandoned bomb shelter. With no surviving relatives and their emergency rations depleted, Seita and Setsuko struggle to survive.

I just wanted to share with you one of my most readed post. This is the history of two brothers during the bombing of Kobe (Japan)...absolutely a must watch movie.

Grave of the Fireflies was probably one of the first animes I ever watched and man it was such a powerful film. Definitely one of the best films of all time. Today the world has lost one of the greatest director ever. RIP Isao Takahata.
