an open yellow and white box with the number twenty on it's side, in front of a wooden background

While simple to create, the look of this card is striking! I used some retired number dies for this card I was shown by my customer and friend, Victoria Schnepp, but the new Pattern Play Alphabet will be perfect when we can order it on June 3. Cherry Cobbler has been the perfect maroon for my daughter's maroon and grey school, and I had some baker's twine that I was able to color with a Smoky Slate Blends marker for the tassel. Since I used a full size gatefold as the base for the Maroon…

a graduation card that says you did it with a gold cap and tassel on top

All the shiny gold on this graduation card adds such a festive touch! I love how this idea, that uses products from Gina K., adds a personal touch with a banner of the graduates name. I spotted thi…

two pieces of black paper with white circles on them and one piece cut out to look like hexagons

I've been keeping busy during this stay at home order making graduation cards! I used a mix of retired and current stampin up items! Loved these too cute ideas from songofmyheartstampers. However, that tassle was not easy to do! LOL and does take a lot of twine! The cute little bubbles are from the current set Butterfly abounds. Loved the whimsical grad hats idea from songofmyheartstampers, but I was lazy and used an already solid grad hat stamp so I didn't have to color! I used one of my…

a piece of paper with a black graduation cap on it and a ruler next to it

Here's how I made my graduation cap for the card I made yesterday. First start with a 1" strip of Basic Black card stock. Lay one point on the gutter of the paper trimmer, and the other end lined up with the 3/4" mark on the right side of the gutter. Then cut! Next flip the piece over, and line up the angle you just cut on the 1" line on the left of the gutter. And cut. That creates the mortarboard piece - a perfect parallelogram! Then punch a 1-3/8" square using your punch and another scrap…

a handmade graduation card with the words celebrate and a red cap on it's top

This is a total case of this card by Amy Koenders https://stampwithamyk.com/2020/05/05/stampin-up-witty-cisms-graduation-card/ and it's probably my favorite of the three grad cards I made this year. The colors are the same, but I substituted stamps to use ones I already had, which led to not stamping the word as many times on the main panel. The cap is a die cut rather than a stamped image.

a congratulations card with ribbons and ribbon on the front, in blue and yellow colors

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today's topic, something borrowed, something blue, would make you think that perhaps I would be talking wedding talk but that is not the case. Some time in the near future though, that will definitely be a very hot topic. More on that later. Today I am 'borrowing' some cards and one of them is blue. Something Borrowed Today my future sisters-in-law took me out for lunch to celebrate my birthday which is next week Tuesday. It was so very lovely. I also…

an origami graduation card with the words class of 2012 written on it, in black and white

Hi Crafty Peeps! I hope you all are having a great week! I made a graduation card for a young man of a family that we have been friends with for several years. My children have had such a wonderful time with their children. It's hard to believe that they are growing up so fast! Since this card is for a young man I wanted to keep away from anything cutsie. I created this card after seeing one similar on my friend, Robin's blog, Robin's Creative Cottage. Here is the direct link to her card…
