Fear of the lord

For the believer, fear of the Lord is an important, non-negotiable piece to our faith. We must honor God for who He is. Fearing Him is our source of wisdom, peace, righteousness, and more.

You may have heard about some people who believe we should fear God because He’s an angry God who wants to punish us. Is He really like that? Or is their definition of fear incorrect? What does it really mean to fear the Lord?

What does it mean to have the fear of God? Why do we need to fear God?

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
