Description This is the third layer of a full "Middle class" Elizabethan ensemble I made last year for a friend. Over the green wool kirtle and linen apron goes the olive wool fitted gown. It is fully lined in a warm brown linen/rayon blend and closes with a small hook and eye at the front. The belt with it, is a thrift store find that I painted and aged to look like leather, the pouch is hand sewn from some wool left over from my red kirtle.
