The Knotty Boss - Anna Leyzina on Instagram: "Welcome to #JustATipTuesday. Need a quick and easy alternative to safety eyes? Embroider them using the French Knot method. This is great for smaller amigurumi when you need a tiny eye, and a safer option to use instead of safety eyes.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Feed the thread to the front of the work, where you want your eye to be positioned
- Wrap the working thread around the needle 1-3 times (the more your wrap the bigger the knot) making sure to keep the coils tight around the needle.
- Insert the needle back through the front, as close to the original entry point as possible. DO NOT place it into the same exact space or the knot will unravel.
- Pull the thread down to tighten the knot and a safer alternative to plastic eyes.
