The lower right has "Power To The People" in red letters. Below is "N.Y. Panther 21 ARM/ Support the Comittee to Defend the Panther 21." This poster (which appeared in many variants) was designed by Richard Moore (Dharuba Bin Wahad). He, along with 20 other Black Panthers, were accused of planning to terrorize New York City landmarks; all were eventually acquitted in what was up to that point the longest and most expensive criminal court trial in NY city history.

I saw this photo at the UT Law School and thought it was fabulous. I don't know the painter, but I think this photo speaks volumes about our nation which now incarcerates more people (both in absolute terms and as a percentage of the population) than any other nation on Earth.
