Hello and welcome to the Gelli Arts® blog! It’s Birgit here today sharing a fun technique using stencils on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate. It’s quite a simple technique to create color in color prints with stencils. This technique works best when using stencils with larger open spaces. Start with applying a layer of acrylic

You can make it even better by adding in some PanPastels for (subtle) additional color and some stamping for extra texture.  Follow these steps: 1. Acrylic paint (I’m using Ara Acrylics). 2. Place botanicals on top and use a sheet of paper to remove the paint in between. 3. Remove botanicals. 4. Let the paint dry. 5. Add some stamping using a permanent stamping ink (I’m using Stain but Archival for instance would work too). Because I’m using a regular stamp the text shows up backwards in my print but that is fine with me :) 6. Let the ink dry. 7. Apply PanPastel in desired areas. 8. Apply layer of acrylic paint 9. Place paper on top and let
