Bee balm is a North American native and a superior pollinator plant. It is easy to grow and has a historical association in much of North America. When the Bostonians threw British tea into the harbor they learned to make tea from bee balm. I have the simple recipe here. Plant bee balm 18-24" apart in well-drained but moist soil in full sun. You can divide the plants about every 3 years and make more plants!
