I just watched Celine Song’s ‘Past Lives’ and it was such an effortlessly beautiful story. We’ve all heard the terms ‘fate’ and ‘kismet’ before but this rendition of the concept is so profound. This idea that when two people meet, it is the product of 8,000 years worth of interaction from as little as brushing clothes in the street. Inyun not only weaves a story if our past lives but also creates hope for the future.
