The status of the Armenian version of the New Testament as an important text-critical resource is likely to continue to increase in the coming decades. It is not easy to realize its significance by reading the 2005 edition of Bruce Metzger’s handbook, The Text of the New Testament: Its Transmission, Corruption, and Restoration, (co-edited by Bart Ehrman).
