Danish Bowl - Royal Copenhagen ($138). This is an large 'Tenera' bowl by Kari Christensen for Danish ceramics manufacturer Royal Copenhagen. Beautiful bird and flower motif. Various shades of blue, maroon, and green. Glossy finish.
A fabulous midcentury ceramic bird with a serene blue/gray matte glaze and a light, gold wash over the top. This has a wonderful sweeping design and would be so great displayed on a Danish modern coffee table or sideboard. I can just see it! The bird measures 9" long x 9" tall x 4.5" wide at the widest point, and appears to be marked "Made in Norway" on the underside of the base. This lovely piece is in excellent condition.
