HBA was tasked with setting a new benchmark for the Curio brand, while also respecting the culture and design of their target market. A three dimensional backdrop commands your attention upon entry of the lobby, illuminated by a skylight above. The 40-meter-high geometric patterned screen, inspired by rich Arabic motifs, casts playful patterns on surrounding surfaces.

Part of the landmark Samara Complex development in Mexico City, this new construction hotel features 150 guestrooms and suites which exceed the Hilton standard. The design overlays the contemporary new hotel with a sleek, sophisticated feel that also references the city's rich context and history. Exploring and developing the connections between the radiance of light and the depth of shadow, the design celebrates the places where they meet to reveal one another.
