The quokka, otherwise known as the happiest animal in the world, is native to small islands off the coast of Western Australia. The pair of the cuddly critters is captured here by Elisa Detrez. - I met some at Rottnest Island, so cute!
Quokka is a mammal about the size of a cat, native to Australia. It's a marsupial of the macropod family, & is similar in appearance to a small type of Wallaby. Quokkas are herbivores & tend to be most active at night (nocturnal).
