Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls, ground turkey--Can't think of what more to say that utterly fabulous. We loved EVERYTHING about this dish. My only recommendation is to add as much pepper as you can handle. We did that and the extra pepper flavor was perfection!
These Unstuffed Cabbage Rolls taste just like the real thing, but with a lot less work! Made something similar using ground turkey (vs beef), beef broth (vs chicken), and a bit of ketchup & worchestershire (vs tomato sauce for a bit of sweet & tangy).
Un-stuffed cabbage rolls - I added about a Tablespoon of Melting Pots Wine and Garlic seasoning, salt & pepper. add lemon juice NO water, I skipped that. time I made it I used a jar of Marinara spaghetti sauce because I didnt have tomato sauce.
I got this recipe from a community cookbook years ago - they were trying to raise money to get their community center some new flooring. It was called unstuffed cabbage rolls in the book but we call it just "Cabbage Roll Casserole". Not exactly as good
Unstuffed Cabbage Casserole doesn't take even the half time of stuffed cabbage rolls but it is as scrumptious. Made this in the crockpot, omitted the rice to make it Paleo. Was really good, would add crushed red pepper for more flavor.
