March has been a busy month! As a student at TC, I've had the opportunity to attend all of the workshops offered by the Reading and Wr.

At the beginning of the year with my firsties, I try to encourage good reading behaviours using this (free) reading stamina chart. We discuss what is expected of them and why it is important. We also discuss the meaning of 'stamina' in relation to reading and why it is important. I copy the chart onto large paper and add it to a small bulletin board and surround it with cute reading strategy posters - it makes for a nice display.
