DIY / How To – Building a Scarecrow

G’day everyone, I built my first ever scarecrow when I was about 8 years old for my parents’ vegetable garden.

This scarecrow is made on an 18 inch straw hat. It is approximately 9 inches deep. On top of the hat are fall leaves, acorns, and berries. It has moveable eyes, a corn cob nose, and a brown felt mouth. The hair is raffia and has leaves in it that look like they have just fallen from the tree. There is a gold and orange bow under the neck.

How Cute Is This Scarecrow? She Is Made Out Of A Strawhat! What a great idea I have a lot of old straw hats. and now I know what to do with it.
