I have added new Rainforest picture-word cards to the Picture Word Cards page. I was not able to find some rainforest animals available in royalty free photos, so I apologize for any animals that may be missing from the set.

This is my version of the Rainforest shoebox diorama that we did with my daughter Hannah in first grade. Now she is a happy homeschooler.  I found a great video in YouTube  that inspired me to do this with confidence!. Here are the  photos of the steps and materials that I used  to make it. I didn't find a better way to upload the photos but if you know how to do it without using pinthemall, please let me know by leaving a comment!

Meet the planthopper!   It’s one of 60+ new species found in the rainforest-dominated mountainous region of southeastern Suriname.  Note the conspicuous waxy fronds at the end of its body.
