Blue Footed Booby, Galapagos Islands Cuties I giggle just saying the name, but watching videos of these birds landing after weeks/months at sea, on dry land, is hysterical/ass-over-teakettle/snort -your- drink-thru-your-nose funny!
The Galapagos Islands is home to roughly half of the population of breeding Blue Footed Boobies. These birds are named for their bright blue feet, which the males will gladly show off as they dance around their prospective mate.
Male blue-footed boobies attract females during courtship by showing off their colorful feet with a high-stepping walk. On a trip to the Galapagos Islands, Megan and Tripp McCoy photographed this pair strutting their stuff.
