Growing up, my idea of the ultimate Mother’s Day gift was to make my mom breakfast in bed. If you’re looking for a way to show someone a little extra love, be it your mom, your kids, your significant other, or yourself (I’m all about some healthy oat pancakes self-care!) today’s Banana Oatmeal Pancakes are a tasty option that will please all parties, including the ones in charge of washing dishes.
I love cinnamon donut holes. Because they are bite-sized I feel like I can either have more than I would if they were full-sized donuts, or I can opt to have less and feel satisfied that I had a donut! This baked cinnamon donut hole recipe is the easiest donut recipe you can ask for. And, they’re baked, not fried, so it’s better for you!
Okay, I feel better. And not just because I got to start my Monday cooking post with a movie line. I feel better because of these quesadillas, which are everything to me. They’re all that’s wonderful, good, and holy about quesadillas, but with a breakfast twist. And you can serve ’em up on a plate with sour cream and pico de gallo as you would for regular quesadillas…or you can just throw wedges at your loved ones as they head out the door. They’re highly portable!
BAKED MINI-FRITTATAS WITH MUSHROOMS, COTTAGE CHEESE, AND FETA
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you probably noticed how I love to make little breakfast tarts or mini-frittatas with the Williams Sonoma Tart Pan I got from my sister Laurel. And when I decided to update the photos for these Baked Mini-Frittatas with Mushrooms, Cottage Cheese, and Feta, I couldn’t resist using the tart pan to make them a bit fancier. But these are just a slightly bigger version of the Egg Muffins that have been so popular on the blog. #bakedrecipe #recipes
LOW-CARB EGG-CRUST BREAKFAST PIZZA
If you’re a fan of cold pizza for breakfast, you’ll love this Low-Carb Egg-Crust Breakfast Pizza! This tasty breakfast pizza is also Keto, low-glycemic, and South Beach Diet Phase One with the right ingredients. Use the Diet-Type Index to find more recipes like this one.
Easy Chocolate Cream Pie I think that everyone needs to have a good easy chocolate pie recipe up their sleeve. Now chocolate pie means different things to different people. For some it can be a super labor-intensive homemade chocolate pie made with all the love in the world. For others, a chocolate mousse pie that you find already prepared in the freezer section, thawed with love (no judgement, those are so good! I’ve been known to pick one up in a pinch!).
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies I’m sure you’ve seen these before. I mean come on, we all have. These festively pretty chocolate cookies seem to be a mainstay on every holiday cookie plate, at least they do around here. And with good reason! These chocolate cookies are so perfectly chewy and delicious that no one can seem to resist them.
Grandma’s Shrimp Dip One area that my family is very serious about is Grandma Eve’s Shrimp Dip. We take no prisoners when it comes to this. It would always make an appearance at our Christmas Eve celebration, and every single one of us would happily dive in. If you were late? Too bad. This shrimp dip is so good that it was every man for himself, no apologies, no regrets.
Sautéed Mushrooms I’ve always really enjoyed mushrooms. Growing up, I always enjoyed them sautéed with garlic and crushed red pepper the way my Grandma Rose prepared them (I will share them soon!). But I also love the way my mother inlaw prepares them. I’ve tried a variety of mushroom recipes and hers are easily top 3.
