1770 By Mayhew & Ince The present armchair is nearly identical to a group of armchairs traditionally attributed to the famous London cabinet-making firm of Mayhew and Ince.  It is also interesting to note that the underside of the seat rails of this chair have cut-outs in order to accommodate glue cramps, a feature found on documented pieces of seat furniture made by Mayhew and Ince as well as Thomas Chippendale.
