HMS Broadsword(F88), the lead ship for Type 22 Frigates. Built by Yarrow Shipbuilders and commissioned 04/05/79. Served in Falklands War, where whilst acting as air defence support to HMS Coventry her Sea Wolf system failed at the critical moment allowing Argentine Seahawks to get through & sink the Coventry. Sold to Brazil in June '95, now renamed Greenhaigh. 2x2 tubes, 2 x Seawolf launchers, 4x Exocet launchers, 2 x 40mm Bofors AA guns & 2 x Oerlikon 20mm Cannon.
