Add one/ 4 cup of alcohol to dishwater. Take a thrift store teapot, submerge it under water, take your kitchen nail, and gently hammer it into the bottom of your teapot. Notice how it didn't break. Now, fill your teapot with your favorite potting soil and then add in your favorite flower plant. How about that? If I can do this, you can do this.

a man in pink shirt watering plants on top of a garden bed with hoses
3.7K views · 701 reactions | One way to ensure you get the biggest, best and most tomatoes you’ve ever grown is to make sure their soil never dries out completely and feed them on a regular basis. Tomatoes are big plants the require lots of nutrients. I use the Texas Pot Method to ensure mine get the nutrition they need. The Texas Pot Method involves drilling holes in a container and then burying it in the ground between two tomato bushes. I mix up a liquid fertilizer like Hasta Gro Pro from @medinaagriculture in my watering can and fill the container. Once it drains, I fill it again. I do this every three weeks. While I use a plastic pot and matching saucer, you can get by with any container you have. Your tomato plants don’t care where the container looks like, they just care if you fill it up every third week! #PlantHappinessYall @gotexan Get more great tips like this on our website (Link in bio) #TexasGardening#TexasGarden #TexasGardenerTips | Texas Gardener Magazine | Facebook

three plastic - free composting systems are shown in this image with text overlay
143K views · 24K reactions | ⬇️ Instructions for Making 3 Plastic-Free Composting Systems for your Garden 1. Secondhand Steamer Composter * Thrift a secondhand stainless steel steamer with holes in the sides & base * Bury it in your garden bed or large pot (a great option for renters or small-space gardeners) 🪴 * Fill with food scraps, weeds (before they have gone to seed), & carbon like ripped paper or dry brown leaves * Cover with the lid and let the worms work their magic. 🪱 * Stainless steel is rust-proof & built to last. It’s rodent-proof too! As the stainless steel is in-chew-through-able. 🐀❌ Please don’t get a Dollar Tree metal trash can 🗑️. They are made from galvanised metal, not stainless steel & as they rust, they will leech lead into your soil ☠️ 💡idea & 🎥 video by

a pink flower with the words, this changed our garden forever
350K views · 1.3K reactions | One of our most asked-about things? Our in-ground vermicompost bins. So let’s dive in! 🪱✨ Our worm homies are the VIPs of our garden disco. We absolutely love them!! Because of that, these bins are a core part of our garden blueprint whenever we set up new beds—because they turn kitchen scraps into pure garden gold right where it’s needed. We make ours out of hardware cloth, but you can also thrift a wire waste bin or bury a 5-gallon bucket with holes. However you do it, trust me—the worms will show up for the party. 🪩 🪱 Want to supercharge your bin? Toss in some red wigglers! You can order them from @unclejimswormfarm or just lay out some moist cardboard and let your local worm squad roll in. From there, just drop in your kitchen scraps and let ‘em do
