Gift for parents- silhouettes! Take a side profile picture of each child, print them out and cut them with black construction paper/card stock behind the photo! So much easier than trying to have the little ones hold still while you trace their shadow!
This project was inspired by some wonderful cut and torn landscapes at Angela Anderson Art Blog and New City Arts. Since I'm in the middle of my Animal Art Fun class I decided to utilize the colorful textured watercolor backgrounds against the graphic look of a black and white zebra. New Strathmore Cover Art - Art Projects for Kids
I had a chance to collaborate recently with the marketing department at Strathmore Paper, and really enjoyed developing this cover artwork for a new product that will be released in the fall. It’s a wonderfully thick, crisp black pad of paper that is perfect for dried glue and pastel projects. No more curly grayish construction paper, yay! My abstract leaf drawing was made by drawing with white glue, letting it dry, and coloring it with chalk pastels.
