Mike Fletcher House cats in the US alone kill 1.3-4 Billions birds per year. Buildings account for 300 million to 1 Billion. 6.8 million die from collisions with cell and radio towers. Wind turbines account for a mere 214,000 to 368,000 per year, and many of those are from specific types of towers with open lattice construction that provide many places for them to perch - and denying the birds perches around turbines (by covering the lattice) reduces that cull by a large margin.
