Opposites No 5 Brooch Back " Ceramano " This photo shows you clearly how I have tackled the question of what pin to use for the back. Brooches of course have different challenges to a necklace construction but equally taxing. I have never liked the commercially available pins. So I made my own pin from silver wire. I settled on this particular design as the brooch does have a little weight to it because of the top layers. The mechanics of this have worked really well.
