What a pleasure it was to meet JIMMY FORTUNE, when he performed at the Mining Camp Restaurant in Apache Junction, AZ. He was with the Statler Brothers for 21 years. What an amazing voice he has; and what a true Southern gentleman! Listen to one of my favorites by Jimmy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11HZ9v7pYTo

Saturday, March 1st, 2014: I drove thru Apache Junction headed for the MINING CAMP RESTAURANT to see THE LIMELITERS perform. It was a beautiful, cloudy day in the Valley. The Limeliters were awesome!! Great music and banter! The Superstition Mountain was rather majestic today with the clouds playing tag with the sunshine. Just an all-around wonderful day made more perfect by the downpour I drove thru on the way home. I LOVE RAIN!!!
When you put guitar, banjo and upright bass together, you get toe-tapping Folk music at its best. Add a touch of mischief and some belly laughs and you've got Andy Corwin, Don Marovich and Gaylan Taylor, THE LIMELITERS. Whether it brings back great memories or you are hearing THE LIMELITERS' music for the first time, it will be an enjoyable experience long remembered.
