Ginger Tea for Sore Throat 4 C water, 2 T honey, 2 slices of lemon, ¼ C fresh ginger root. Boil water, cut a piece of ginger root 2'' long and 1'' wide. Peel and cut into small pieces. Add to boiling water and simmer 15 minutes. Add lemon juice and strain, saving the ginger, then add honey and stir till dissolved. Keep lemon in the tea for 4-5 minutes then strain. Drink while still warm.
