The lingam (also, linga, ling, Shiva linga, Shiv ling, Sanskrit लिङ्गं, liṅgaṃ, meaning "mark", "sign", "inference"  is a representation of the Hindu deity Shiva used for worship in temples. Hindus consider the lingam as a mark or sign of the presence of Lord Shiva, who at his highest level is perceived as limitless and formless.

Udaipur, Rajasthan  - Eklingji Temple of Udaipur is devoted to Lord Shiva, the tutelary deity of the former Mewar rulers. It is situated approximately 24 km to the north of Udaipur and has a huge complex consisting of 108 temples. The Temple houses 50 feet high four faced black stone statue of Lord Shiva each face depicting Lord Shiva in his four forms as in the east is Surya, in the west is Brahma, in the north is Vishnu and in the south is Rudra.
