These cute buttons are just painted wood, with a few holes drilled into them.  How cute would they be in a sewing room or crafting space?  I think a few bits of left over yarn laced through the holes and hot glue to hold it in place would finish these off nicely.  A few old cutting boards, or wooden plates would work great as the bases for these.
