Olé el toro by YorkshirePrintmaking on Etsy Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain in 1881 and would have been 133 years old yesterday. I made this print a few years ago by way of homage to Picasso and I feel it conveys something of the artistic influence he has had on me.
Sep. 10, 1981: Spanish artist Pablo Picasso’s monumental anti-war mural Guernica is received by Spain after four decades of refugee existence. One of Picasso’s most important works, the painting was inspired by the destruction of the Basque town of Guernica by the Nazi air force during the Spanish Civil War.
