Sens Cathedral Rose Window
It was begun in 1140 and belongs mainly to the 12th century, but was not complete until early in the 16th century. The architecture of its choir influenced, through the architect William of Sens, that of the choir of Canterbury Cathedral. The Rose WIndow depicted is a symbol of what all French Gothic Cathedrals embraced: stained glass depicting scences from the scripture. Rose Windows were the structure erected above the entrance ways on Gothic structures.

Gothic cathedral - Barcelona
There is a courtyard in the Gothic Catherdral in Barcelona - it is a very tranquil place so I recommend a visit if you are in this beautiful city :-)
