One Bitch'n Kitchen
In this English kitchen, the designers at Sustainable Kitchens replaced a cabinet with two nooks for wooden crates. Try this by removing the door from a lower cabinet and adjusting the shelves to fit two storage bins that will slide out easily for storing vegetables or your collection of reusable bags. It looks great, can break up a large wall of cabinets, and makes often used items much more accessible.
Anchored by a clean-lined Parsons table (left unpolished to stand up to fingerprints), the dining room is both sophisticated and family friendly. Galvanized-metal French Tolix chairs designed in the 1930s and a long bench (which has been known to hold as many as six kids) provide some much needed flexibility and style.
