Neptune is the eighth planet from the Sun, the fourth largest planet, and the farthest planet in the solar system. Neptune is a darker blue than Uranus and both of them are similar to each other and scientists are not sure why. There is a huge Neptunian storm called the Great Dark Spot, similar to Jupiter's Great Red Spot, but it disappeared completely in the late 20th century. Neptune is the windiest planet that has the fastest winds than any other planet. Since Neptune is far away from the Sun, Neptune is the slowest orbiting planet. Poor Neptune takes a very long time to finish orbiting around the Sun, for 165 Earth years. The same place where Neptune is now, 165 years ago is before the American Civil War, before computers, phones, tablets, television and cars has been invented. Neptune has the longest orbit of any other planet in the solar system. Neptune is the third fastest rotating planet. Neptune has 14 known moons.
