Distaff blade made for bridal gift. Flower of Life and six petal rosette motif came from Western Europe via Sweden to the costal Finland. It was carved with a knife to the wood and painted afterwards. Decoration was meant for good luck and fortune. Finland, 1700 - 1800 AD.
